Annual Safety Inspections(Pre-Start Health & Safety Review)
Because of the changes to the Ontario Ministry of Labour Regulation industrial establishments are required to produce a pre-start health and safety review or a letter of declaration for each piece of new or modified production equipment.
When modifying existing machinery or installing new machinery, it is your responsibility as an employer to determine if a pre-start health and safety review is required.
In general, any new machine not certified with a letter of declaration from the manufacturer or an existing machine being modified requires a pre-start health and safety review.
